We are so happy to have had Michael shoot our wedding day. Choosing the right photographer was our priority, as after the day all you have left are the photos & memories, and we are so privileged to have had the perfect photographer!

Not a day goes by that we don't look at our absolutely stunning wedding photos from 8 months ago, we STILL look at them in awe and everyone who has seen them were so impressed!

From the first meeting we were put at ease, we were listened to and guided on what we wanted for our big day. On the day, Michael put everyone at ease with his humour and great personality, making us comfortable in front of the camera, and he was super respectful of cultural requirements.

Kouki Weddings was such a privilege to have at our wedding. From our first meeting with Michael, we could see that he was a very organised, hard-working, talented and charismatic person. We are both quite shy and reserved people so wanted a photographer who would take charge and initiative without us having to worry about it on the day. Michael definitely did not disappoint. He and Lucy made us feel so comfortable and relaxed thought out the day. Our guests loved them both, and we got lots of comments about how energetic and enthusiastic (and funny!) our photographer was. Their passion shone through. Michael is absolutely incredible. I feel like this review is almost as important as my vows because I want everyone to know how talented, kind and FUN Michael is - you will not regret getting him involved in your special day. Michael was available literally any time of the day or night leading up to our wedding and was a huge help in the preparation stage. He played a massive part in making our day really special and it seriously felt like I had another family member with me getting ready during the day, which was probably the best aspect of our whole experience because I wasn't keen on photos. Every singe one of our guests complimented Michael, asked where and HOW we found him and said he really fit in with us - which is exactly how we felt as soon as we met him. We had our sneak peek photos the next day, which were amazing, and then our official images not long after which was doubly amazing. He had captured everything we wanted and more and the photos came out beautifully; I can literally remember the conversations we were having during each photo. Michael, I can't thank you enough!!!

Mike!!! Where do I begin? I first found Mike 8 years ago for my 21st birthday photos. He was such a kind-hearted, super-inclusive and fun photographer, and I can easily say he carries those skills to this day.

Mike has since done my friend’s 21sts, he photographed me being proposed to, me and my partner buying our first home, our engagement party and now our wedding. He has done everything so beautifully, the photographs speak for themselves. Everyone at the functions kept asking me about Mike and complimenting his unique and quirky style. He makes everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera and induces real laughter, which always makes for beautiful photos.

We have had the best wedding experience with Kouki; he went above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly and had his team of additional photographers and videographers to ensure we didn't miss a single moment. Our guests enjoyed Kouki's refreshing style of photography and provided genuine laughter and smiles throughout the day. We received the edited photos well within the estimated time frames and they turned out so beautiful that we are struggling to pick the ones to print. Right from the initial meeting, Kouki is very friendly, experienced and on to it. We hired him to be our photographer but he went above and beyond to help us with planning out the wedding schedule and recommendations. Which made the planning phase a lot less stressful.

He's also very well connected and knows lots of people, which is very handy when you want to have access to certain locations, for us it was the cherry blossom garden. Thanks again, Kouki for making that happen!

Kouki is very prompt and professional yet very outgoing; interaction with him always feels like you just chilling with your friend and having fun. On the big day, he basically shoots for us from the morning until late at night and he still has that same energy toward the end.

Michael's been awesome since our first encounter through zoom meeting! Extremely genuine and funny. You know your typical South Auckland "Asian " that's been brought up from humble beginnings! His communication leading upto our wedding day was on point! He knows what he is doing & does what he does BEST! We put our total trust in him and didn't fail us.

We find it awkward taking serious photos, but thanks to Michael he made it so comfortable, funny and free-flowing. Michael went above and beyond! He is extremely talented, and we are extremely grateful he was our photographer for our special day. Michael & the team became family by the end of the night.
l know Michael gives the option of just photos but seriously, adding in a videographer and watching your wedding day on video edited by KOUKI will have you travelling back in time💯
